The binding is worn and rubbed, but remaining intact and sound. Foxing to the endpapers (with a short closed tear to the fore-edge of the front free endpaper) but the text and illustrations are relatively unfoxed and clean. Two volumes, with separate pagination. Two handsome frontispieces and five full-page woodcuts, each with a delicate border consisting entirely of type ornaments. The division of this work into two parts is explained by the sub titles on each title page -- [1 th.] Welche in unterschiedlichen artigen sinn-bildern den ganzen zustand einer bussfertigen und Gottsuchenden seele vorstellt...Mit sieben bildern.--[2. th] Worinnen unter artigen sinn-bildern fortgesetzt wird, wie des Christen weib und kinder die gefährliche reise auch angetreten, u. das erwünschte land vergnügt erreicht haben. A handsome copy of this scarce Pennsylvania German imprint, in much better condition than typical copies of Bunyan's popular "Pilgrim's Progress." American Imprints 11562.
