Paginations: Vol. 1: xix, [1], 405, [1] p.; v. 2: [4], 406 p.; v. 3: [4], 392 p. Error in page numbering: Vol. 1, p. 350 misnumbered 150. Three volumes bound in full mottled calf with black leather spine labels, gilt lettering and extensive gilt decorative stamping at spines, blue marbled paper endpapers. Very attractive early American binding. A bit of rubbing and wear to the spine ends of Volumes 1 and 3 with some minor loss. Corners rubbed, hinges secure. Former owners' names: oldest is "Stephen Strong / 3 vol $2.40" ; later is "Henry K. Flowers / 597 5th Ave / New York, NY" Stephen Strong (October 11, 1791 - April 15, 1866) was a U.S. Representative from New York. Stephen Strong was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1845 - March 3, 1847). He served as chairman of the Committee on Expenditures in the Department of State (Twenty-ninth Congress). After serving his term in Congress, he returned to private practice in Oswego and later served as a judge for Tioga County. Price:
