Lloyd graduated from Harvard Law School, continued his studies at Cambridge University, England, then took a post at the American Embassy in London. He was later attached to President Harry S. Truman's White House staff and was largely responsible for organizing the Truman Library in Independence, MO. This, his second novel, is an intrique involving American expatriates in Naples, Italy. It combines the suspense of a melodrama with a moral sense worthy of Henry James. Dustjacket has some wear at top edge.
