A fascinating book of photographs taken by Ylla in 1955, capturing some of the wildest, most beautiful species of wild and domesticated animals in India. Includes photographs of elephants, tigers, rhinos, leopards, monkeys and birds. Includes Ylla's diary of her impressions of India and descriptions of the circumstances in which the photographs were taken. Lay-out and design by Luc Bouchage. Sadly, Ylla was killed in an accident on this trip while photographing a bullock race at Bharatpur.
